A delegation of 19 Andalusian firms from the aeronautical, security
and defence industry presented their products to a delegation of
buyers from the United States during a trade mission in October at
the facilities of the Business Centre of Aeropolis, the Aerospace Technological
Park of Andalusia. The aim of this meeting organised by
Extenda with the collaboration of the Hélice Foundation was to facilitate
access by the American market to the products of Andalusian
companies, enabling contacts with the companies invited. The Andalusian
firms which participated were Aerosur, Aerosertec, Alestis
Aerospace, Aernnova, Ayesa Internacional, CT Ingenieros, Elimco,
Ghenova Aeronáutica, Isotrol, Mecatecnic, Aerópolis, Prescal, Sofitec,
TADA, Teams, UMI, Aertec, Mesurex Aeronautics and Atlántica
Composites. The American delegation consisted of the companies
Hawker Beechcraft, Aerosage, Tect Aerospace, General Atomics Aeronautical
Systems Inc., EMS Technologies and Shapes Aerospace
International. The trade mission included presentations by the different
U.S. companies, individual meetings with Andalusian firms and
various visits to their facilities and the FAL of the A400M. This action
will be followed up by a direct trade mission to the United States and
Mexico which is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2011.
