Andalusian aeronautic exports reached a historical maximum of 481.6 million euros in the first se¬mester of 2012, that is, 3.2% more than in the same period of the previ¬ous year, according to data of Ex¬tenda, the Andalusian Agency for External Promotion, depending on the Regional Ministry for Economy, Innovation, Science and Employ¬ment.
This figure means 3.8% of the total of international sales of the whole Andalusia from Janu¬ary to June 2012, and it places the community as the second in the Spanish aeronautic exports rank¬ing. A good part of the increase of the external turnover of Andalusian sector in the semester had USA as main player, with a duplication of sales (+100.5%) with regard to the same period of 2011, being, there¬fore, the second destination for the Andalusian exports.
France was, once more, the leader destination of foreign aeronautics sales, with 40% of the total and a 192.6 million euros turnover. Germany, on its turn, was the third country with 13.5% of the total and 65 million euros turnover, whilst Brazil reached again the fourth position, with an increase of 151% and exports for a total 34 million euros.
